These posts started out as a way for me to share my experiences working and parenting from home during the stay-at-home order. Over the last couple of weeks it’s seemed like most of the posts are repetitive from day to day… because the days are repetitive when we have nothing going on. I’m still going to keep this blog up, but I might do some round-ups of a few days in a row rather than posting daily, unless something out of the ordinary happens.
With that said, here’s how the last few days went.
Days 33-36 (April 17-20)
Towards the end of last week and over the weekend somewhat, I felt down. Nothing in particular was wrong, just coping with everything and not really knowing when this will end was (and is) weighing on me. Despite that, we had a good weekend and enjoyed our time together.
On Friday I was able to start my run a little later than usual because Ben was off work so I didn’t have to rush back so he could leave. After my run it pretty much rained all day, which added to the blah mood in the house. Liam was being extra clingy and needy, and I ended up putting him in the car and driving around for 20 minutes just to get out of the house.
The weekend was decent. We had good weather and managed to get out for a walk both days. I had a Zoom call with my besties and made some gigantic (and delicious) garlic knots.
Yesterday (Monday) was okay. I had that icky, blah feeling again but I think it was just due to the start of another week of the same. Again, the weather was nice so we went out for a walk after I finished work. Only downer was when Rose threw a fit because she couldn’t figure out how to swing herself, so she got frustrated which made everything worse. I ended up sending her inside to her room to calm down, which then caused Liam to start crying because he wanted to play with her.
Hoping today will go smoothly. I did see something that brightened my mood this morning…
